His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, today paid a visit to the Maljimal, Bhatia, Asarpota, Kewalram, Vaidya, Gajria, and Kavalani families to mark Diwali.
His Royal Highness highlighted that Bahrain, home to many religious communities, maintains its long-standing support to fostering religious and cultural tolerance.
His Royal Highness also emphasised the important role Islam plays in promoting coexistence between all religions and cultures.
His Royal Highness concluded by noting that Diwali also represents an opportunity to celebrate the important and valuable contributions the Indian community has made to the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The families celebrating Diwali expressed gratitude for the Crown Prince’s visit, and welcomed the Kingdom’s cultural openness and long-standing support for religious freedom.
His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman Al Khalifa accompanied HRH the Crown Prince during the Diwali visits.
