Abu Simbel temple
Aswan - MENA

As many as 850 tourists of different nationalities, especially from China, visited on Saturday Abu Simbel temple in southern Aswan ahead of the perpendicular of the sun rays on Sunday on the statue of Ramses II which was built in 1275 BC, Head of Abu Simbel antiquities department Hossam Aboud said.
Meanwhile, he asserted that all required measures were taken ahead of the event that will not be celebrated due to the recent incident in which 21 Egyptians were killed in Libya by Daesh militants.
The sun rays fall perpendicular on Ramses II at Abu Simbel Temple which is a unique astrological phenomenon that will take place on Sunday at 6:20 and will last for 20 minutes.
