British PM to visit Vietnam

British Prime Minister David Cameron will pay an official visit to Vietnam on Wednesday and Thursday at the invitation of his Vietnamese counterpart Nguyen Tan Dung, said a press release from Vietnam's Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) on Monday.
During Vietnam tour, Cameron is expected to exchange views with Vietnamese leaders on measures to deepen Britain-Vietnam strategic partnership between the two countries in areas of investment, science-technology, finance-banking, education-training and defense among others.
Vietnam and Britain established diplomatic ties in 1973 and upgraded it into strategic partnership in 2010.
Official statistics showed that Britain is Vietnam's top partner among the European Union members, with bilateral trade revenue hitting nearly 4.5 billion U.S. dollars in 2014.
Currently, around 40,000 Vietnamese are living and working in Britain.
