Egypt aborts bid to smuggle Jewish artifacts overseas

Minister of Antiquities Mohamed Ibrahim said police aborted an attempt to smuggle Jewish artifacts out of the country. The Jewish artifacts were seized in Damietta river port before being smuggled into Belgium. The artifacts are 11 wooden cylindrical boxes with a diameter of 20 cm with Hebrew inscriptions and symbols on them, a silver knife dating back to 1890, a silver crown and bells that are being examined to determine their date
