Kuwait - KUNA

An exhibition of traditional craftwork is being held on the fringes of the 25th Arab Summit, due Tuesday, where the creativity and skillfulness of Arab craftspersons can be seen through their artifacts. There are 15 Arab countries participating in the exhibition: Jordan, UAE, Bahrain, Tunisia, Algeria, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Oman, Palestine, Qatar, Egypt, Morocco, Mauritania, Yemen and Djibouti. Visitors of the exhibition can see a display of traditional artifacts that reflect the unique history and heritage of each participating country. Some of the items that are being showcased are jewelry, copperware, silverware, carpets, woodwork and some traditional and modern apparel. The exhibition was opened by First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah last Thursday.
