Meeting
Manama - BNA

The Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA)'s President Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa received UK Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Iain Lindsay and the British Council's director Tony Calderbank.
The two sides explored ways and means of cooperation and possibility for creating new vistas of civilizational interaction between the two friendly countries.
Shaikha Mai Al Khalifa stressed the importance of bilateral cultural ties, pointing out that Manama has always been looking forward to view international cultural experiences. She said that Bahrain is striving to have the upcoming year teeming with cultural activities, especially as Manama celebrates this Year of Heritage under the slogan "Our Heritage.. Our Wealth", adding that constant cultural cooperation between Bahrain and Britain results in shortening distances and closing up human visions between the two friendly peoples
Ambassador Lindsay has praised BACA's efforts aimed to boost cultural activities in the Kingdom, and expressed his admiration of the remarkable attention to national heritage in Bahrain. He added that such work will chart the history of humanitarian civilisations and preserve cultural heritage for coming generations.
The ambassador has expressed his aspiration to participate in presenting several cultural projects which will enrich cultural exchange between the Bahraini and British peoples.
