Kuwait Foreign Petroleum Excavation Company (KUFPEC), has won a concession for oil exploration and production in Yemen. Kuwaiti News Agency, (KUNA) quoted Yemen's Minister of Oil and Minerals Ahmad Daris as saying, that the deal involves Yemen's Al-Jol Block (102) basin, located in the southeastern province of Hadramaut, with Norwegian oil company, DNO, awarded the concession for the Wadi Al-Banin Block (84) basin. The announcement came as the country's oil ministry reviewed 43 international bids received for 20 oil concessions currently being offered by the Yemeni government.
