The Chairman of the Group of the Jeddah-based Islamic Development Bank Dr. Ahmed Mohamed Ali discussed, during a meeting Wednesday at the bank's Headquarters in Jeddah with the Minister of Foreign Affairs Ali Ahmed Karti, the bank support for funding small-scale and productive projects in the fields of agriculture, industry and minerals.
The bank explained, in statement it issued, that the meeting touched on Sudan efforts to attract foreign investments and capacity building of the domestic investors.
The Chairman of the Development Islamic Bank expressed his group readiness to extend all forms of possible assistance to those projects along supporting Sudan efforts in the field of attracting foreign investments, stressing that support of establishment of such projects falls within the essence message of the bank.
He lauded Sudan experience in the field of microfinance, affirming the bank readiness to support this experience.
An agreement was singed during the meeting on formation of Sudanese technical mission including various relevant circles to visit the bank during the coming period to discuss a certain projects and initiatives that the group will be able to support and finance them.
