Whenever we receive yet another brown envelope labelled “Top secret, for wheels’ eyes only” there’s a moment of knee-trembling anticipation. When that envelope ends up containing spy shots of some or other Ferrari, it’s like we cracked the Enigma code. This latest batch of spy shots shows the next Ferrari 599 replacement, code named F152, rolling casually out of Maranello’s fabled gates. It can afford to crawl around casually despite the presence of spies, because it’s disguised to the point of resembling the Elephant Man. Look, it could be the 599 replacement, because it’s quite clearly front-engined with that V12 wail, but what do you know? It could also be some sort of FF Scuderia/Challenge… We’ve seen stranger things. Anyway, the F152 should have an all-aluminium body and the FF’s 6.3-litre developing 700bhp. Look out for it at the Geneva motor show this March.
