The 3rd International Conference on Future Mobility, with the theme, "Towards Sustainable and Intelligent Mobility", will open on Tuesday in Dubai, hosting 350 manufacturers and experts from the world's leading vehicle production and marketing experts, governmental and private sectors, in the largest international brainstorming event to develop the future of this sector.

The conference will be hosted by the Emirates Authority for Standardisation and Metrology, ESMA, at the Grand Hyatt Dubai, on 7th and 8th November, to develop a common vision for smart, electrical and hybrid vehicle system legislation and mechanisms for communication between vehicles and the surrounding environment, and will examine ways to overcome any obstacles that may arise in the development of this sector.

Abdulla Almaeeni, Director-General of ESMA, said, "For the first time, ESMA will be hosting international, regional and Gulf governments entities to discuss how to develop and support this promising sector, which provides environmentally friendly solutions with positive economic and social impacts."

The current session of the conference comes within the framework of the efforts of ESMA in preparing the legislative structure of the UAE to serve the intelligent mobility sector and to ensure that it keeps abreast of the country's development, especially in the field of communication between vehicles and their surrounding environment.

ESMA has set a two-day round table for manufacturing and production pioneers, technology experts and companies producing smart, electric, hybrids and hydrogen vehicles during the conference.

The Emirates Authority for Standardisation and Metrology has set up a team of strategic partners, including federal and local government departments, to produce the best possible scenario for them.

The conference, which is being organised by Messe Frankfurt Exhibitions Organisation, will be attended by more than 35 international speakers and will showcase a range of eco-friendly vehicles from manufacturers such as Tesla, Audi, Porsche, Volkswagen, Toyota, Lexus, Honda, Volvo, BMW, Cadillac, Kia, Renault and Mercedes-Benz.
