Carmakers are eying the potential use of wearable devices to enhance the function and convenience of vehicles, industry sources noted Monday, responding to growing demand by consumers for smarter cars. South Korean carmakers such as Hyundai Motor Co. and Kia Motors Corp. have been allocating more resources to wearables and incorporating new technologies into their vehicles to improve value.
