what is happening in syria

Oraib al-Rentawy

News coming from Syria strongly suggests that we must think: what is happening in Syria?...is the regime losing power?...who is controlling and ruling Syria now?...has the time for truth arrived?...are there big surprises in the offing? The newly employed Syrian PM Riad Hijab announced his defection from the criminal regime, while joining the Syrian revolution. His spokesman said he was "preparing to leave and transfer to a safe location with the help of the Free Syrian Army". "This was planned months ago before Hijab took the constitutional oath in front of president Assad," he said. The contradiction that Syria has a new prime minister, Omar Ghalawanji, as if its the Syrians' destiny to still be bothered about high prices, lack of basic supplies, and economic crises. The new PM reminds everybody of these problems, especially when the last one left the regime. Now, we ask Allah to bless the suffering Syrians… The Aleppo battle that people describe as historical and fateful, while all parties conceded that it hadn't started yet, has an "organised military" vowing to present the "main dish" soon to the "militant groups" which mean that all that has happened until now has just been "appetizers" despite half of Aleppo being turned to ruins. The biggest battle hasn't started yet despite finishing all preparations so what is the chief waiting for before serving us his main dish? Why is he so hesitant? Is it international pressure, and is so what is new about that? Or, the situation in Aleppo, like Damascus is out of control. Before Aleppo the official media announced they were "clearing Damascus" of any "militant guerrillas", delivering reports about stability and normal situations in most districts. Since that time several battles occurred and hundreds of victims fell, and new districts like Yarmouk and Tadamon paid a heavy price. Syria is splitting, don’t you remember Homs and Deir Al-Zour, Hama, and Dera, how many times has the regime cleared these places? These operations are endless. At the same time the PM left with a number of his ministers, a bomb at Syrian state TV headquarters in Damascus's Umayyad Square went off on the third floor. This was one of the most fortified buildings in Syria, indicating that Syria is not "secured" and the "terrorist guerrillas" can reach anywhere, so who needs to be secured, the regime or opposition? Senior officials are increasingly leaving for Turkey and Jordan, while Palestinians go to Lebanon after hearing the implications of asylum in Jordan. They don’t want to harm others who were infected by the "Alternative Nation" and its side effects, so decided to join their crowded brothers in Lebanese camps. The first Syrian in space, Captain Mohamed Ahmed Fares, also fled to to Turkey (he is the first and the last Syrian astronaut) with a great welcome from Syrian opposition due to the "probability of joining Syrian astronomical industry of the revolution"! We don’t know what is happening in Syria. But Syrian disintegration is accelerated as the regime despite its majority belongs to a certain identity that actually includes different factions. It seems that sectarian selection operations in Syria and the region makes "Sunni life" so difficult there. We said after four security forces were killed in el-Roda district and defections are bound to increase. This doesn't mean that the Syrian war is going to end as the PM's fleeing has had a psychological effect only. The position itself is completely dismissed, as you must search Google to determine the prime minister name, that’s what I did today. But, we all keep in mind names of people who are taking leading positions in political and security agencies key to decision-making in Damascus, may Allah be with the Syrians and with us.
