Jihad el-Khazen

The fascist government of Israel is waging a war against Iran on U.S. soil, through an organized and well-funded campaign led by the Israel lobby, the neocons and American Likudnik websites, with a view to push the United States into a conflict with a country tens of thousands of kilometers away, a country that has no disputes with America over occupied territories or oil fields. Then a few days ago, the CIA claimed that Iran was behind terrorist attacks abroad, and perhaps even within the U.S. itself. If the Israel gang in Washington fails to push the United States into a war on fabricated premises in the footsteps of the Iraq war, then Israel may attack Iranian nuclear facilities itself. Israel perhaps estimates that the fallout from the Iranian reaction would be limited, and insignificant if compared with the threat of a nuclear-armed Iran. But Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei threatened to have a devastating response amid reports of an Israeli strike planned in the spring, while Obama’s hands remain tied because of the U.S. elections. As a result, Obama cannot oppose any measures taken by Israel, and may even have to support them publicly to ward off any foul play from the same lobby. An Israeli war remains a backup plan, because the American war criminals that were not held to account for killing thousands of American youths in wars for Israel and oil still prefer to sacrifice American youths on behalf of Israel. For instance, the billionaire Sheldon Adelson, who made his fortune in gambling casinos, funds extremist groups that attack anti-war activists, whom they accuse of anti-Semitism just because they describe warmongers as ‘Israel firsters’. But Israel comes first and last to the American lawmakers, who were bought by the Israel lobby (read what Thomas Friedman said in an editorial published by the New York Times on 13/12/2011, entitled “Newt, Mitt, Bibi and Vladimir”), and support for Israel is the motto of all Republican contenders for the Presidency, with the exception of Ron Paul, a physician. Adelson had saved the campaign of Newt Gingrich by pumping billions of dollars into it, after this scandalous candidate said that the Palestinian people are an “invented” people. Adelson is currently the man behind advocacy for an American war on Iran on behalf of Israel, so much so that the Israeli newspaper Haaretz complained in an editorial it ran this week of the adverse effects of supporting Israel in such an unconditional manner. Personally, I think that President Barack Obama will most probably refuse to involve his country in a war with Iran. If he did, he would lose all that remains of his electoral base that got him into the White House. The Israelis know this, and it is for this reason that they are pushing forward with their campaigns against him, despite his repeated statements regarding the ‘unbreakable bond’ with Israel. The government in Israel has started preparing for a strike against Iranian nuclear installations, although there is no evidence whatsoever that Iran has the capability – or indeed the will – to produce a nuclear weapon. The report submitted by the UN inspectors who visited the Iranian nuclear installations last week did not settle the issue and the controversy surrounding it, and they were subsequently immediately accused in the West of failure. In Davos, I heard the Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak warn against the threat of an Iranian nuclear bomb to the stability of the whole world. In November, Barak had told the Israeli radio that a war would be no picnic, but that if Israel was forced to wage one, then the fallout would be endurable, and a hundred thousand, ten thousand or even one thousand Israelis will not die in the confrontation. Ethan Bronner, the New York Times correspondent, reported that Israeli officials and think tanks have been downplaying the fallout from a war with Iran. For example, a paper published by the Begin-Sadat Center mentions that Iran possesses 400 missiles, and that Hezbollah had launched four thousand rockets in the 2006 Summer War, causing minor damage. But I say that we are in 2012. Former Egyptian intelligence chief Omar Suleiman told me that the Americans and Israelis said to the Egyptians that Hezbollah has in its arsenal about 20 thousand rockets, with ranges of such and such. But Major General Suleiman questioned this information, and said that Hezbollah may have 30 thousand rockets or more, with a longer range than thought. Personally, I believe that Hezbollah is able to strike the refinery in Haifa and reach Dimona. There can be no defense against its rockets either, owing to the short distance that the rockets can travel in a matter of seconds. Furthermore, Hezbollah will strike Israel even before the Israeli jets return to base after their first strike against Iran. Also, the war gang in the Israeli government, which is entirely a criminal gang, knows this information full well to begin with. Israel is also aware that the war will spread beyond Iran’s borders into the whole region, while the Strait of Hormuz, through which 90 percent of Gulf oil flows, may be closed, after Iran threatened to do so even without a war. For these reasons, the Israeli government and the war criminals that support it in the United States want America to foot the bill for Israel’s crimes. Where are the Arabs in all this? I did not mention them because they have no stake in either the cattle or the caravans [i.e. no role to play whatsoever], an old saying that they know very well because they have now returned to live in the dark ages, having once enlightened the world in a bygone time.
