Damascus - MENA
Syrian opposition gunmen restored control over a number of areas in northern Aleppo that government forces had seized during an offensive.
The rebels made further progress in northern Aleppo and retook several parts that the government had gained control over months ago, "Sky News" TV quoted the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) as saying.
Rebel factions seized the northern village of Herdetnin after violent clashes with the regime forces and loyal militiamen.
The regime forces shelled areas in the town of Retyan and other places in the village of Herdetnin with no information about casualties so far. They also bombarded places in the town of Hayyan leading to injuries, some critically, the SOHR said.
