Syrian army units on Sunday morning destroyed gatherings and fortifications of Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists in al-Yadouda town and Daraa al-Balad area in Daraa southern province, SANA reported.

A military source said that an army unit carried out intensive bombardments on the positions of the terrorist organizations and their fortifications in Daraa al-Balad area.

The source added that a number of terrorists were killed in the bombardments and four of their heavy machineguns were destroyed in Khazan al-Karak and near the shoes factory, in addition to destroying a canon to the northwest of al-Jumrok al-Qadim “Old Customs”.

The source clarified that the terrorists Abu Zoheir al-Shami and Mu’een Farid Zakawani were among the dead, while 14 other terrorists sustained severe injuries.

In the western countryside, an army unit destroyed fortifications and a vehicle belonging to the terrorist organizations, killing scores of terrorists while trying to steal grains from the silos in al-Yadouda town.
