Several people were killed in the Syrian capital Damascus when a suicide bomber detonated a car in Bab Touma.
Several people were injured and public and private properties were damaged in the blast that occurred on Sunday morning, state media said.
The car was reportedly one of three vehicles carrying bombs chased by the authorities. Two were destroyed at the Airport Road roundabout area in Damascus, while the third car bomb was surrounded in Bab Touma area.
The Syrian interior ministry said the cars were sent at 6:15 am by terror groups, but were spotted by the authorities.
