Kurdish fighters made gains against ISIL terrorists in the Syrian town of Kobani overnight.
Activists on the ground report that Kurdish forces have advanced in the East and Northeast of the strategic city, AFP reported.
"At least 18 ISIL militants were killed in the fighting, as well as a number of Kurdish fighters," the so-called Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said Monday.
Kurdish forces have been battling ISIL terrorists since they launched their assault on Kobani over three months ago
