The Syrian Democratic Forces (SFD) took control of al Rawadah district in Raqqah following fierce clashes with Deash terrorists, said the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) on Saturday.
The clashes continued between the US-backed SFD and Daesh militants in both southern Raqqah and the old city, Alhurra channel quoted SOHR as saying.
Earlier, the US-led coalition warplanes conducted airstrikes on the outposts of Daesh in Raqqah and Deir Ezzor.
Meanwhile, Turkish military reinforcements approached the borders linking Turkey and Syria.
