Syrian security forces gather in front of a damaged building

At least eight people were killed and 15 others were wounded in an explosion that took place at a gas factory, east of Damascus countryside, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) reported on Monday.
Fours security personnel were among the eight who died in the attack that might be the responsibility of ISIL militants.
Meanwhile, violent clashes have taken place in Ayn al-Arab "Kobane" after an ISIL militant blew up his booby-trapped car. The explosion killed many of the Kurdish People's Protection Units and wounded several others.
The ISIL group kept shelling the city while the US and Arab allies coalition warplanes continued airstrikes on its bases, the SOHR said.
