Assad forces on outskirts of Euphrates River

Assad forces scored another advance in the southeastern countryside of Al Raqqa after capturing a number of villages that were under the control of militants, Syrian activists said Sunday.

The new advance made the army forces 18 kilometers away from Euphrates River, they added.

War jets belonging to the regime forces carried out intensive raids over Daesh's supply routes in the southeastern countryside of Raqqa.

After the liberation of the Iraqi city of Mosul from Daesh, the Syria Army has intensified an offensive against terrorists in a bid to liberate rest of Syrian lands.
