Turkish army said on Friday that at least nine Free Syrian Army soldiers were killed and 32 others injured during clashes with Daesh militants on Turkish borders.

The Turkish-backed soldiers were killed in an operation to expel Daesh militants form an area on Syria-Turkey border, the Turkish army noted.

Al Arabiya news channel reported that Turkish warplanes carried out airstrikes against 18 targets in the same area over the past 24 hours, destroying buildings used by Daesh terrorists.

Meanwhile, US-led coalition air strikes killed three extremists there.
