At least 28 civilians were killed and dozens others injured during a surface-to-surface shelling and airstrikes by Syrian regime forces in Doma and Sabqa cities of Eastern Ghouta, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported.
A child was also killed and three others injured when three mortar shells landed in Damascus, the Syrian capital, chairman of the London-based group Ramy Abdel Rahman told Sky News Arabia TV.
The shells were fired by armed men from Eastern Ghouta, Abdel Rahman said.
