At least 12 Al Qaeda-linked militants were killed in clashes with government troops in Kafriya, a once-prosperous village in northern Syria, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said Thursday.
The London-based group said the militants were from al-Nusra Front, an al Qaeda-linked jihadist group in Syria.
