Eleven militants were killed in fierce clashes with Syrian forces in the northern countryside of Hama.

Russia Today quoted local sources as saying Tuesday that at least 11 fighters, mostly from Jabhat al Nusra, were killed by Syrian forces in Halfaya town and Al Masasina and Al Bowayda villages in northern Hama.

Two four-wheel drive vehicles mounting heavy machine guns were also destroyed by the Syrian forces, the sources added.
