10 children killed in Russian raids on Syria's Idlib

At least 10 children were killed and others injured in Russian raids on Maaret Harma in Idlib's countryside, Sky News reported quoting sources close to the Syrian opposition.

The all-news network quoted the Syrian civil defense center, which operates in the areas controlled by the armed opposition, as saying that the Russian warplanes carried out raids using vacuum bombs on residential areas in Idlib countryside, claiming the lives of several people.

Casualties of the raid are still trapped under the rubble and search operations were launched to pick them out.

Earlier in the day, Syrian activities said 16 people were killed and others injured in raids by the US-led international coalition on Deir Ezzor city in eastern Syria.

The raids are said to be targeting Daesh leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi.
