One Syrian killed late Tuesday in clashes between Turkish security forces and a group from Syria trying to illegally enter into Turkey, Turkish Armed Forces (TSK) said Wednesday in a written statement. The statement said that a group of 30 people tried to cross into Turkish territory through a minefield on the Syrian side, read the statement. The Turkish military forces launched warning shots, and then exchanged fire with the people who ignored the warning and insisted to cross the border, the statement said, adding one Syrian was seriously injured and died later in the hospital. An investigation was underway.
