Smoke rises after an airstrike

The US-led alliance pounded Sunday sites affiliated to group Daesh in several parts of Iraq and killed 110 of the terrorist group members.

The US-led alliance started bombing Daesh targets in Syria last September as part of a strategy aimed at rolling back the group’s territorial gains in Syria and Iraq.

Clashes between Iraqi forces and the militant group have also been ongoing since June 2014 when the armed group seized Mosul and other territories in Iraq.
