Iraqi police said Monday 84 armed men, including 74 of the Islamic State in Iraq and Lavent (ISIL), were killed in operations in the Mosul and Fallujah.Commander of Federal Police in Mosul General Mahdi Gharawi said in a statement police forces thwarted attempts of attacks by the ISIL in southern Mosul, killing 74 of them and arrested 499 others.He said the operation in Mosul resulted in the destruction of 21 booby-trapped vehicles and 53 hideouts of ISIL, as well as seizing large quantities of weapons and ammunition, reported the Kuwaiti news agency KUNA. Security forces also killed 10 gunmen in eastern Fallujah.
