Iraqi forces retake village northwestern Mosul

As Iraqi forces on Tuesday took control of a new Daesh-controlled village northwestern Mosul, federal police drove into the right coast of the city.

After liberating al Shiekh Mohamed village and inflicting heavy losses on Daesh terrorists and their equipment, the forces raised the Iraqi flag over its buildings, Commander of 'We are coming, Nineveh' Operation Abdel Amir Yar Allah said.

The rapid response forces and federal police managed to retake 90 percent of an old city in al Bab area.

On February 19, the Iraqi premier announced the launch of the third phase of 'We are coming, Nineveh' Operation to liberate the right coast of the city which is inhabited by some 750,000 people.
