Iraqi forces deploy in the area of al-Shourah

Iraq's Counter-terrorism Service forces Tuesday took control of new areas in the left coast in eastern Mosul.

Besides restoring a tank and an armored personnel carriers (APC) from Daesh terrorists, the Iraqi forces found a booby-trapped car, said Commander of 'We are coming, Nineveh' Operation Abdel Ami Yar Allah.

The forces are continuing advance toward the eastern axes in Mosul where they captured the industrial neighborhood, the industrial zone, a warehouse, a factory as well as a car company, the commander noted, adding that the Iraqi flag was raised above the buildings there.

The army and police are advancing toward the northern and southern axes as well, Yar Allah added. 

Earlier this week, Iraqi forces announced that they have recaptured 40 districts, out of the 56 Deash-controlled districts in eastern Mosul, during the first phase of the operation that came to an end on December 15.
