Joint Iraqi Forces on Sunday destroyed three booby-trapped cars belonging to Daesh during the militant group's attack on Retba neighborhood in Anbar in southeastern Iraq.
Military Media of the Joint Iraqi Foces said the two car bombs were destroyed and a number of terrorists were killed while repelling the attack on Retba.
Meanwhile, Iraqi forces foiled a suicide attack by Daesh in Khwein district in southern Mosul on the seventh day of operation launched to liberate Nineveh governorate.
Federal Iraqi Police along with Al Hashd Al Shaabi troops killed a number of suicide bombers who attacked military sectors in Nineveh.
Clashes have been going on in Hamdaniya neighborhood in southeastern Mosul where the Iraqi army artillery shelled Daesh positions in Bartalah and its surroundings.
