Iraqi forces, in cooperation with air force and international coalition, liberated Zachakhh area of Anbar governorate from Daesh militias, War Media Cell of the Joint Operations Command said on Sunday.

The forces also raised the Iraqi flag on the area's police station.

On Saturday morning, the Iraqi forces launched a security operation that aims to liberate a number of areas in Anbar.

During the operation, the forces killed eight members of the terrorist group including a senior leader.
