Iraqi army kills over 300 Islamic militants western Iraq

 Iraqi security and military forces killed over 300 militants of the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIL), mostly in Anbar governorate in western Iraq, the office of the General Command of Iraqi Armed Forces announced on Monday.
In Saqlawiyah city, Iraqi security forces killed around 262 ISIL militants and destroyed all of their vehicles, Command spokesmen Major General Qassem Atta told a press conference.
In Saladin province, northern Iraq, military forces liberated Soqour village, killing 38 ISIL militants, as well as destroying four of their vehicles, spokesman noted.
In Diyala province, eastern Iraq, army forces killed 15 extremists and destroyed all their vehicles after they attempted to attack security forces at Adheem town in the province, he said
