Iraqi anti-Terrorism Troops

Iraqi anti-terrorism forces on Saturday liberated two districts in eastern Mosul city, center of Nineveh province, from the grip of Daesh terrorist group.

Commander of Nineveh Operations Brigadier General Abdel Amir Yarallah said the anti-terrorism squads entered al-Qadisiyah and al Mehwar districts in eastern Mosul and raised the Iraqi flag over them.

Daesh militants suffered big losses and a number of its elements were killed in the offensive.

The total number of liberated districts in Mosul reached 29 out of 56 in eastern Mosul.

Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi announced on October 12 the operations to liberate Mosul, the second biggest Iraqi city, from Daesh with the participation of Iraqi army, Peshmerga troops and tribal fighters.
