A suicide bomber detonated his explosives near a group of anti-al-Qaida fighters in Iraq Monday, killing one and injuring nine, a security official said. The official said the bomber detonated himself near the Sahwa members as they were receiving their pay in the al-Taji district in northern Baghdad, IraqiNews.com reported. The number casualties could rise, the official said. Sahwa is another name for Awakening or Sons of Iraq -- founded to counter the influence of al-Qaida in Iraq.
