Iraqi security forces inspect the scene of a car bomb blast in the Iraqi capital

A booby-trapped car went off Saturday in Iraq's northeastern governorate of Diyala, injuring two policemen and a civilian.

A car driver in Diyala sparked suspicions of police forces that asked him to get out of the car and cordoned it off, said spokesman for Iraq's ministry of interior.

He added that police managed to explode the car and killed the suicide bomber inside.

The explosion caused shrapnel injuries to the three people.
