At least five people were killed and 25 others wounded in two attacks in different parts of iraq on Wednesday, security officials here said,A police officer said that a parked car bomb ripped through a residential area on Wednesday in the town of Musayyib, killing three civilians and wounding 14. The town is located about 60 kilometers south of Baghdad.Another police officer said a bomb targeted a restaurant in the town of Madain, killing two people and wounding 11.Madain is located about 20 kilometers southeast of the Iraqi capital.Earlier this morning, Deputy Governor of Kirkuk Rakan Saeed al-Jubouri survived an assassination attempt when a roadside bomb targeted his motorcade southwest of Kirkuk.A police source said that a bomb, planted in central Hawija 55 km southwest of Kirkuk, exploded as the convoy of deputy governor of Kirkuk passed, damaging some wheels without casualties.
