Nine Iraqi civilians were killed and 25 others injured when a suicide bomber set off his explosive belt in a crowded district in eastern Baghdad on Tuesday.

The attack took place in “New Baghdad” district of the capital with heavy damage reported in nearby shops, a security source said.
