A booby-trapped vehicle exploded Thursday in Baghdad, leaving five Iraqi civilians dead.

Spokesman for the Baghdad Operations Command Brigadier General Saad Moen said the explosion left also seven Iraqi passers-by injured.

The blast targeted a gathering of people in Baghdad's Al Obeidi district, the spokesman added.
