11 killed, injured in two Baghdad blasts

Two separate explosions hit Baghdad early Sunday, leaving 11 casualties, an Iraqi security source said.

The source said at least two people were killed and one was injured when a booby-trapped car exploded in Abu Desheer area in southern Baghdad, reported Al Sumaria News channel.

The toll is likely to rise, the source added.

Security forces cordoned off the blast scene.

The second explosion took place in the fourth police district in southwestern Baghdad, killing three people and injuring five others.
