Violent clashes erupted Friday between troops of the Libyan army and Daesh militants in various districts of Benghazi, a Libyan military official said.

Soldiers of the Libyan army, using various kinds of weapons, made progress toward the European Hospital in Benghazi, he added.

The Libyan air forces carried out combat missions against Daesh gatherings in those districts, the official said.
