Libyan spokesman denies presence of foreign fighters in anti-Daesh operation

Mohamed al-Gasri, a Libyan military spokesman, denied Friday there were foreign fighters among the government troops fighting against Daesh terrorists.

In statements, Gasri reaffirmed that all fighters were Libyan, noting that Libya only received logistical support from its friends.

He clarified that the fighters in the current anti-Daesh operation, named “Al-Bunyan Al-Marsoos” (Solid Structure), include both officers and revolutionary elements from separate parts of Libya, especially western Libya.
