Libyan army regains control over new regions

The Libyan army gained control over new regions western the city of Darnah.

This came after the army repelled an attack by the Shura Council of Mujahideen in Darnah, western the city of Benghazi, director of the information bureau at an air force base Ali Bosta said Saturday.

He said a group of militants from the Shura Council of Mujahideen in Darnah tried to advance into an area western the city, but the military choppers launched an airstrike against them, forcing them to retreat, along with destroying seven military vehicles.
