Security forces cracking down on the arms market of Ajdabiya, Libya

Fierce clashes erupted Sunday morning in Libya's Ajdabiya between Libyan government forces and armed elements who are controlling oil ports in eastern Libya.

The Libyan army has taken control of the city's eastern and southeastern gates where armed men were stationed, Russia Today channel quoted local sources as saying on Sunday.

There are now violent clashes on Ajdabiya's outskirts, added the sources.

Meanwhile, clashes are ongoing near Sidra port in eastern Libya amid news that Libyan army have taken control of Ras Lanuf refinery as well as the town's airport.
