Tripoli airport clashes

As many as 97 people have been killed in clashes between rival militias around Tripoli airport in the Libyan capital, said a source in the Libyan health ministry.
The fighting has left 440 others injured, the source added.
Tripoli International Airport has been exposed to violent armed clashes between Zentan revolutionaries, who control the airport, and Islamist-led Misrata militias, since last week.
The airport has been under control of the Zantan rebels since the liberation of Tripoli from Gaddafi troops in August 2011.
The week-long battle is one of the worst spurts of violence the country has seen since the ouster and killing of Libya's ruler for 42 years Colonel Muammar Gaddafi in 2011.
