Air strike hit Tripoli's Maitiga airport

A Libyan warplane bombed Maitiga air base in Tripoli, which is considered the Libyan capital's last functioning airport, a local television reported Tuesday.
The strike hit an area near the runway without damaging it, but caused some damage to nearby civilian homes, according to BBC.
Airlines have been using Maitiga, a military air base, since July when fighting caused severe damage to Tripoli's main international airport.
