A US drone killed six militants in north-western Pakistan, officials said Wednesday, as troops gained
ground in offensives againist rebels, dpa reported.

The unmanned aircraft fired two missiles at a compound in Datta Khel area of North Waziristan tribal district near the Afghan border, a
military official said. The identity of the dead militants was not immediate known, the official said.
