Pakistani Defense Minister Khawaja Mohammed Asif has said that his country is committed to defend the sovereignty of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as per defense agreements between the two countries.
He voiced the stance as he addressed the Pakistani Senate in Islamabad in response to questions from opposition parties on the nature of relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
While saying that Pakistan is seeking to play a positive role in the current crisis between the Saudi Arabia and Iran, he said that his country would defend the integrity of the Saudi territories in case of any threat to its safety.
