Pakistani security forces thwarted a militant attack on a check-post in Lower Kurram area and killed 15 terrorists in retaliatory fire early on Thursday.

About 50 assailants launched the attack Mingorsar area and some of them managed to flee, according to the Pakistani Geo news.

The security forces have launched search operation in the area after the attack.

Lower Kurram is a sensitive area and it borders with Afghanistan.
