Seven people were killed on Thursday including two paramilitary personnel in different firing incidents in Karachi city, southern Pakistan. According to local media reports, two bodies of paramilitary personnel were recovered from Mewa Shah Colony of the city; the victims were abducted from the Layari area on Wednesday. On Sunday, a blast hit the city killing 48 people and wounding hundreds. Paramilitary are carrying out a search operation against the militants in the city to maintain peace. Security has arrested 10 suspected militants during the search operation in different areas of the city. Huge amounts of explosives and weapons were also seized, police sources told KUNA. In another incident where unidentified assailants opened fire on a passenger bus, one person was killed in the shooting, police sources said. The firing incident occurred in Baldia Town in the city. The police sources said that a policeman was killed in Pak Town area of the city which further raises the number of the killings to seven since last night.
